Research-TV ceases production of new stories
After four successful years of bringing cutting-edge research news from the UK's most forward-thinking Universities to the attention of broadcasters world-wide, Research-TV is ceasing it's production of new stories. As of August 1 2007 our video-on-demand service will cease but for a select few stories which will still be available to view on-line. Research-TV is proud to have been the only research news provider of it's kind since it began in 2003. With the help of like-minded University core-partners it became an informative and reliable news source for many international broadcasters seeking breaking news content.
The Research-TV team would like to thank all of the people that have contributed to the service from the beginning, without whom these stories would never have been created.
Research-TV's founding partners scoop PR awards
Two of Research-TV's founding partners have recently scooped UK Midlands PR awards from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. The University of Birmingham has been named the Midlands in-house PR team of the year, while the University of Warwick scooped a gold award for "Warwick Podcasts". The University of Birmingham also received a silver award for their "Moonrise over Europe" exhibition, the video for which you can watch here.
jobs.ac.uk launches Employer Video service
In collaboration with Research-TV, Jobs in the Academic Community (jobs.ac.uk) is launching a new "Employer Video" service. Short promotional videos will be filmed on behalf of institutions wishing to enhance their recruitment advertising through video. The videos will then be streamed along all job adverts placed on www.jobs.ac.uk. For further information, download the flyer here.
